RFID In Shopping Carts

The Muskegon Chronicle reports that Meijer grocery stores in the Michigan area will be testing whether RFID chips in grocery carts and speed customers fast through check-out. The system tracks how many carts are in the check-out area, tiggering management to increase staff in the check-out lanes.
